Answers to
Members'
Questions About the Vantage Plans
Q.
I'm a Vantage
Platinum Plan member. How do I use my Concierge benefits?
A.
Just call one toll-free number to talk to your Vantage
Concierge. It's that easy!
Q.
Will I always
get answers to my questions right on the spot?
A.
Usually, yes. But if your Vantage Concierge needs to
check something out or get more information, she'll call you back with
the answers. You'll never be told to call another number . . . you'll
never be transferred to another person . . . and you'll never have to
explain your question or problem more than once.
Q.
I'm having a
tough time finding someone to take care of odd jobs around the house.
Can my Vantage Platinum Plan help?
A.
Yes indeed! Thanks to our nationwide network of
resources, we can put you in touch with trustworthy people in your area
who can take care of odd jobs around your house—everything
from
fixing your roof to fixing your lunch. Best of all, we've already
checked them out for you.
Q.
I spend a lot of
money every month on prescription drugs. Can you get them for me for
less?
A.
We sure can! Use your Vantage Platinum Plan or Vantage
Gold Plan membership to buy prescription drugs from a network of 40,000
pharmacies nationwide, including participating drug stores in your
area. You can save even more if you use our mail-order pharmacy service
and let your letter carrier "go to the drug store" for you.
Q.
I have a lot of
medical costs Medicare doesn't cover.
A.
Bills for dentists, chiropractors, eye doctors, and
hearing care can sure add up. That's why both the Vantage Platinum and
Gold Plans include important discounts on dental care, vision care,
chiropractic, and hearing care. You can save up to $300 on hearing aids
alone!
Q.
It's a maze out
there! How can I get answers and referrals on things like home health
care services and adult day care?
A.
The answers, options, and referrals you need are an
important part of your Vantage Platinum Plan membership benefits.
Depending on your wants and needs, we can connect you with qualified
professionals right in your area who provide assisted living services,
retirement facilities, home health care and adult day care, homemaker
services, hospice care, and rehab facilities.
Q.
I already have
good health insurance. Why do I need a Vantage Plan too?
A.
Because even the best health insurance programs usually
require you to pay 100% of a deductible, and then a percentage of
covered costs. And many insurance programs don't pay anything at all
for such things as vision care, chiropractic, and dental care.
Q.
Do I have to
fill out a lot of paperwork to take advantage of my Vantage Plan
discounts? Is there a deductible?
A.
"No" to both questions. Just show your Vantage membership
card to the participating provider of your choice and get your discount
on the spot. There's no paperwork, no waiting—and no
deductible.
Q.
Am I the only
person in my family who's eligible for benefits?
A.
Not at all! In fact, all of your legal dependents are
covered—your dependent parents, your spouse, even your kids
away
at school.
Q.
I'm not in the
best of health. Can I still sign up?
A.
You certainly can. There are no health questions to
answer, no age limit, and acceptance is guaranteed—you can't
be
turned down.
Q.
I'm covered by
Medicare. Why do I need a Vantage Plan too?
A.
For one thing, a Vantage Plan can help you with a lot of
out-of-pocket expenses Medicare doesn't cover—like
prescription
drug charges, and charges for dental vision, and hearing
care.
And for another thing, the Vantage Plan covers your whole family.
Q.
How can I get
the name of a local drugstore that's part of the Vantage Program?
A.
Just call 1-888-678-6300 toll-free for the answer. Find
out who the participating doctors, dentists, hearing and vision care
specialists, and chiropractors are, too.
Q.
How often can I
use my membership benefits?
A.
It's up to you. There's no limit on the number of times
you or covered family members can use your Vantage Plan benefits.
Q.
How many
participating providers are in the Vantage Program network?
A.
More than 75,000 providers are part of our huge network
today—and we're always looking for more top-quality providers
to
join us.
